Many Modalities, Unlimited Possibilities

Welcome to Muscle Anthropology! Meet the owner, Jeremy Cully, a fully licensed and insured massage therapist. He has been practicing massage therapy in the CSRA for 10 years. Jeremy prides himself in taking the time with each client to learn what they are looking for, but also to educate them on what is potentially at the root of their body’s problem. This allows us to tailor a treatment plan working through modalities that will be most beneficial to your massage needs.

Our Services

Typically, Spas list the types of massages they offer: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point Therapy, etc. To me this short changes any client looking for body work. Seldom will anyone’s modality fit the job for the whole body. Massages that use numerous modalities in different spots on the body tend to deliver the strongest benefits. However, I still feel it is important for the client to have a basic understanding of most of modalities that they will experience with my body work.

Swedish

The Swedish is amongst the most common therapy treatments, being one of the most relaxing modalities, as it helps releasing stress-induced tension throughout the body and provides an overall sense of well-being!

Trigger Point

This modality is seldom used by itself, but combined in conjunction with the right treatments, it is used for structural change.

Trauma Release Therapy

Based off the ideas of Dr. Ida Rolf, this unique modality targets Myofascial tissue as it stretches out tight muscles. This modality is a bit more aggressive than others; however, the lasting impact on my clients well-being is quite evident!

Deep Tissue

When done properly, a Deep Tissue Massage doesn’t have to hurt. Commonly mistaken as a Swedish with applied pressure, this modality works great for making structural changes to the body.
